Good-Bye, Ana and Michelle

Our two foster daughters have moved to Mexico to live with their aunt.  We we miss them, they have been such a joy to have around.  The children are just as emotional about them leaving as I am.  I think it's going to be a rough week or two around here until we all adjust to the quieter house.

Out of the seven children we've fostered we've been able to keep three of them, and for that I will be forever grateful!  I am so glad to have been blessed with Brigham, Rebekah, and Hyrum.  They have been in our home for almost 5 years.  It surely has been a blessing.

Last night we decided to do some fun family activities to get all our minds off of the sad news that two of our family members were leaving. We went out to dinner (which we haven't done in over 18months) and took the children to a local family fun place and did arcade games.  It was nice to have one last fun memory with Ana and Michelle.

It's been a hard day with a lot of tears, but we will make it through.  I just hope and pray that these girls are going to a good home and that they will be loved and cared for.  It's hard sending them off to a family in another country that we know nothing about.  We just have to hope and pray that they remember who they are and can stay strong.

I wish I could post pictures of our family with them in it, but confidentiality rules prevent it.  I figured saying their names is fine because they are not their legal names anyway, it's just what they go by.

If you think of it, please pray for them.  Thank you!

Halloween

We had a good Halloween.  The children enjoyed a ward party the Satruday before Halloween including a trunk-or-treat.  Then on Halloween day they all got to wear their costumes to school.  Daddy took them trick-or-treating in the evening.  They ate a little too much candy and were cranky for a few days, so after Halloween night we took their buckets and have been handing them one or two pieces at a time.  They do so much better eating a little at a time.
Rebekah was Princess Aruora
Brigham was Cheer Bear from the CareBears

Hyrum wanted to be a pumpkin again.

Timothy and I wore our costumes from the musical our stake did 8 years ago, Brother Joseph.
It sure in nice to reuse costumes.  The only one I had to make was Brigham's CareBear costume.

Hope you all had a great Halloween too!
